I was in Macau

I was in China! Yeah! Hobart was there too! I had to sneak Hobart because Mummy don't allow me to bring Hobart, but then ler, when we arrived at Macau Airport, Hobart got excited and got out from his safe zone!
Macau Airport
The moment I arrived in Macau International Airport, I was excited! Land of my ancestors. All CHINESE PEOPLE! Woooohhhhhooooo! Mamak Rose (sat next to me in the plane) was very dissapointed because there weren't much pretty lights and she said Macau is like 'kampung'. But once we hopped into a van and travelled across the bridge and when she finally see the 'kampung', she was amazed because her 'kampung' was brightly litted and filled with casinos. Yeah... super high tech 'kampung'. Whoe don't want to stay in this kind of 'kampung'? I also want.

Casa Real Hotel & Casino entrance

Being in Macau was tough, as Chinese people there can hardly speak proper English, and we can barely speak proper Mandarin. Thank God the moment we stepped into our hotel, Casa Real (it's a casino) some Philipino guy came out and speak fluent English with us!

We checked in and got into our room. It was prety small but very comfy and clean and they barred the window so that no one will commit suicide after losing money in casino.

Streets beside the Casa Real Hotel

We walked around, and surprisingly the area was pretty clean. Maybe because it was winter. Owh, it wasn't that cold. We walked (15 minutes) to The Sands (another huge casino) in order to get a FREE shuttle bus to Venitian Macau.

Once we arrived there (Venitian Macau) I was at awe! The place is HUGE! And so pretty! At the shuttle bus area they had music (that matches the mood and theme of Venitian) in the open air.

We got in, and we just walked following the crowd. The area was seriously huge and almost magnificent. Huge China made chandeliers are dangling at hallways and and we saw the biggest casino in the world. But we got on the escalator and low and behold, we finally reached the indoor of Venice! It's so so so so pretty! No birds flying around though.
A gondola!

Mummy and I in the washroom

No, we didn't sit on the gondola. We cheapskate people don't want to spend money on artificial riverway, hiak hiak. We're on tight budget la. Actually the street is a shopping mall itselves. A huge shopping mall and it's only one floor. If you walk deeper you'll see the food santuary. The food was pretty expensive but looks tasty. We didn't get to eat anything though. But the washroom is really really nice!

Mummy and gondola

Mummy was really excited when she sees the gondola. The gondolas are perfectly crafted. And they actually hired a real gondola man/woman on the job and they sing some Venice songs which I don't know.

Mamak rose and her noodle

We hopped into the shuttle bus to The Sands, and stopped by at some noodle shop. One bowl is not cheap, but Mamak Rose was really kind to pay for them. Thanks!

Hobart being excited, looking Volcanica at the Fisherman's Wraft

The next day I was excited to walk around so I was up and ready to move, with Hobart. Mummy was with me and Mamak Rose tagged along. Cindy snorred.

We went to the Fisherman's Wharf. No pets allowed but Hobart don't care.

Then the ladies need to use the washroom. We went to The Sands (again). But before we enter they need to scan us. And the security guard asked me to put Hobart in his safe zone (my bag) because it's too highclass for Hobart. If I'm the President's daughter I wonder if they dare to say stuff like that to Hobart.

The huge chandelier in The Sands

The place was magnificent! There's a huge chandelier hanging from the highest ceiling. Venitian Macau is more towards the Neo Classical style but the Sands is more Contemporary. And it's a casino. Casino is on the 2nd floor.

The pedestrian walkway below the roads

Then we got back to our hotel room and next stop, to the port to HONG KONG! YeaH!
